Terms and Conditions – Alba Competitions

Welcome to AlbaCompetitions.co.uk (“we”, “us”, “our”). By entering any competition on our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility

  • Competitions are open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
  • Employees of Alba Competitions, their families, or anyone professionally connected are not eligible to enter.
  • We reserve the right to verify eligibility at any time.

2. How to Enter

  • To enter, participants must:
    • Select a competition
    • Correctly answer the skill-based question
    • Complete payment for entry
  • Entries are only valid once payment has been successfully received.
  • Free entry routes (if applicable) will be clearly stated on each competition page.

3. Competition Draws

  • Each competition will have a specified closing date.
  • If all tickets sell out before the closing date, the draw may take place earlier.
  • If insufficient entries are received, we reserve the right to:
    • Extend the competition, or
    • Offer a cash alternative

4. Winner Selection

  • Winners will be selected randomly from all correct entries.
  • The draw may be conducted using a random number generator or live draw.
  • The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. Prizes

  • Prizes are as described on the competition page.
  • No cash alternative is available unless stated.
  • We reserve the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.
  • Delivery or collection details will be arranged with the winner.

6. Winner Notification

  • Winners will be contacted via email and/or phone within 7 days of the draw.
  • If a winner does not respond within 14 days, we reserve the right to redraw.

7. Publicity

  • By entering, winners agree to allow us to use their name, image, and general location for promotional purposes.
  • You may request limited anonymity, subject to legal requirements.

8. Refunds

  • All entries are final and non-refundable once payment is completed, except:
    • If the competition is cancelled
    • If required by law

9. Liability

  • We are not responsible for:
    • Technical failures or website downtime
    • Lost, delayed, or incomplete entries
  • Our liability is limited to the value of the entry fee.

10. Data Protection

  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • We will only use your data for competition administration and relevant communications.

11. Legal Compliance

  • All competitions are operated in compliance with UK laws.
  • Skill-based questions are used to ensure competitions are not classified as gambling.

12. Amendments

  • We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time.
  • Updated terms will be published on this page.

13. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland / United Kingdom.
  • Any disputes will be subject to UK courts.
